About the Role



Service Stream's Utilities Division is seeking a highly experienced Civil Operations Supervisor - Water Services to join our South East Water team in Dandenong South. This permanent, full-time opportunity offers an excellent chance for skilled professionals to grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and advocate according to Service Stream's values of Safety, Delivery, People, and Accountability.
  • Manage and monitor designated site activities to ensure project compliance and safety adherence.
  • Conduct daily checks on civil maintenance staff to verify relevant training completion and correct licenses.
  • Review and improve KPIs and data validation of works.
  • Perform site audits and inspections actively.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing Safe Work Methods (SWMS).
  • Administer field technicians, including approving timesheets, processing leave requests, and correcting JAMS validation errors.
  • Maintain spending within authority limits and costs within budget requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the client.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • A current Driver's License.
  • A Certificate III/IV in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in the Water (or other underground utility) industry operations.
  • Experience dealing with stressful time-limited environments.
  • Strong commercial experience.
  • The ability to interpret and understand civil/mechanical drawings and scopes of work.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • High-level interpersonal skills to positively influence team members and working relationships.
  • An understanding of SWMS, risk assessment, and analysis.
  • A strong Client focus.

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum
