Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Civil Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Dandenong South. As a key member of our field services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to a crew of civil maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and advocating for a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Managing and monitoring designated site activities to ensure project compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Performing daily checks on civil maintenance staff to ensure they have completed relevant training and hold necessary licenses.
  • Reviewing and improving KPIs and data validation of works.
  • Conducting site audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Developing and reviewing Safe Work Methods (SWMS) to minimize risks.
  • Administering field technicians, including approving timesheets, processing leave requests, and resolving JAMS validation errors.
  • Maintaining spending within authorized limits and controlling costs within budget requirements.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients to deliver exceptional service.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • A current driver's license.
  • Certificate III/IV in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in the water or underground utility industry operations.
  • Experience working in stressful time-limited environments.
  • Strong commercial skills.
  • The ability to interpret and understand civil/mechanical drawings and scopes of work.
  • Proficient MS Office skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence team members and build strong relationships.
  • An understanding of SWMS, risk assessment, and analysis.
  • A client-focused approach.
