About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with churches, schools, and volunteers to deliver Scripture Union's mission through training, coaching, and leading staff and volunteers in ministry opportunities within your district.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing SU ministry in the geographical area by establishing new camps and programs, coaching event directors and volunteers, and fostering partnerships with local stakeholders.

This role requires a strong understanding of Christian youth and children's ministry, as well as experience in team leadership, networking, and strategic alliances building. The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and a proven track record in community fundraising and engagement within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow SU ministry in the region through strategic planning and execution
  • Collaborate with churches, schools, and volunteers to deliver SU's mission and objectives
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local stakeholders to support SU's growth and development
  • Coach and develop staff and volunteers to achieve their full potential
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to engage with local communities and promote SU's work

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Christian youth and children's ministry
  • Experience in team leadership, networking, and strategic alliances building
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Proven track record in community fundraising and engagement within the education sector
  • Driver's license essential
