Our Relief Team Members

We are seeking experienced customer service professionals to join our relief team as Retail Customer Service Officers. As part of this role, you will work across multiple post offices in the Launceston region, providing excellent customer service and sales support.

What You'll Do

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every interaction is positive and memorable
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately, handling cash, cheques, credit cards, and EFTPOS
  • Conduct Australian Passport Interviews and other identity services transactions
  • Promote our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising, and other promotional activities
  • Assist customers with mail lodgements and associated costs
  • Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and preferences
  • Perform administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service and/or cash handling
  • Ability to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for extended periods

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly rate of $33.66 (increasing to $35.98 after 3 months) + 12% Superannuation
  • Extensive training program, including initial 5-week induction and ongoing development opportunities
  • Casual position with a mix of scheduled and unscheduled shifts, Monday to Friday, between 8:45am and 5:06pm
  • Ongoing support and guidance from our team
