Salary

$150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

As a Chief Technology Legal Specialist, you will advise clients on a wide range of technology-related legal matters, including data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property. You will negotiate contract terms with internal and external stakeholders, identify potential risks, and provide strategic advice on risk and regulatory matters. You will also offer guidance on emerging technology trends and their legal implications.

  • Identify potential risks and provide strategic advice on risk and regulatory matters.
  • Offer guidance on emerging technology trends and their legal implications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years PQE working in Australia.
  • Deep understanding of technology law and experience drafting and negotiating SaaS contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian data privacy laws and regulations, including the Privacy Act.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience working on and negotiating government contracts is highly desirable.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
