This is an ongoing, full-time or part-time position for a Senior Mental Health Clinician within the St Albans Community Mental Health Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, tertiary mental health care for infants and children 0 to 15 years and their families through skilled assessment, treatment, and case management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child and family.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and family-centered care principles.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members and students to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and service providers to promote collaboration and capacity building.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as occupational therapy, psychology, or nursing.
- Current registration with the relevant health practitioner board.
- Proven experience in providing high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents, with a focus on family-centered care and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and continuous learning.
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Mental Health Service is a Level 5 tertiary Infant, Child and Family Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.
