The Management Accountant role plays a vital part in supporting the financial performance and accountability of an organisation.

About the Position
  • 75 hours per fortnight, continuing position
  • Geelong based
  • A postgraduate degree is required for this role with at least two to three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting program financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and program performance reviews by drawing on your commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Hands-on processing including journal preparation, reconciliations, financial system maintenance, and contributing to the month-end and year-end close.
  • Ensuring accuracy in financial records and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Leading and coordinating finance team members when required and contributing to the planning and delivery of finance projects.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or business-related field is required.
  • Progressing towards membership of a professional accounting body such as Chartered Accountants or CPA Australia.
  • Experience in financial and management accounting is essential including involvement in financial change management initiatives to improve processes and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and legislative requirements applicable to the organisation is also necessary.
