Role Overview

Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our water team in Bendigo, Victoria. As an Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our drinking water treatment plants.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade qualification or experience in water treatment operations, preferably with knowledge of pumps, pipelines, and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify faults in plant equipment and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As an Operations Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and monitoring plant equipment, processes, and systems to ensure operational targets are met.
  • Performing preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant assets.
  • Troubleshooting and rectifying equipment/process faults and alarms.
  • Conducting laboratory testing, analysis, and sample collection.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on plant performance.
  • Participating in an on-call roster and attending call-outs as required.
