About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead Analyst to join our team at Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd.

The successful candidate will have accountability for the security of IT and data assets, lead our Managed SOC analysts, analyse and respond to security incidents, and drive the adoption of Next-Generation security technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cyber Operations: Develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies to protect our organisation's digital assets and infrastructure.
  • Incident Management: Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective mitigation and recovery.
  • Threat Detection and Analysis: Utilise advanced threat detection techniques to identify and analyse potential security threats.
  • Vulnerability Management: Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in our systems and infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder and Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and engagement with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management processes to ensure seamless integration of new security technologies.
  • Cybersecurity Architecture Review: Conduct regular reviews of our cybersecurity architecture to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date.
Essential Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in a dedicated incident response role within a diversified multi-national organisation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent.
  • GIAC, (ISC)2, CEH, Google, AWS and / or Azure Cloud Security Certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies, tools, and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, NIST, GDPR.
  • Experience in the selection and systematic application of appropriate indicators/metrics to evaluate and measure information security management program effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
