Job Title: Storesperson

At our organization, we are seeking a professional to join our Supply Chain team as a full-time Storesperson. Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, this role is part of a team responsible for inventory control and security.

This position will involve a rotating roster, with some weekend work required. Nominal stores hours are each day, with start and finish times set in accordance with the roster.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties safely and effectively, adhering to Company procedures (SMS and CPPM) and health and safety legislation;
  • Ensure all work is carried out according to organizational procedures, reporting any anomalies;
  • Maintenance of goods inwards and outwards freight registers;
  • Acceptance of incoming stock & clearance into bonded storage including maintenance of traceability records within a standardised record keeping system;
  • Providing correct packaging, labelling and storage of stock once cleared into bonded storage;
  • The correct safe packaging of goods for transportation;
  • Consigning and timely dispatch of outgoing goods, ensuring turnaround times are minimised;
  • Maintaining the store in a secure, clean, tidy efficient manner, with stock shelved and stored in regular groupings;
  • Maintenance of stock lines subject to shelf life, taking appropriate action on expired stock as directed by the Logistics Team Leader;
  • Stock items with special storage requirements are stored accordingly;
  • Maintenance of documentation records held within the store; and
  • Maintaining stock levels and usage at levels in accordance with Company requirements, advising the Store Supervisor of stock shortfalls.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Timely and accurate data entry skills;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – written and verbal;
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office software, including Excel/Word/Outlook;
  • Current Australian drivers Licence;
  • Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC;
  • Experience in stores and purchasing administration and procedures (desirable);
  • Competency with inventory computer-based software (desirable);
  • Forklift Licence;
  • Aviation Industry Experience (desirable); and
  • Dangerous Goods Acceptance (desirable).
