Compliance Specialist - Transportation Sector

Job Overview

This role involves partnering with various business units to provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices in the transportation sector.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Interpret and monitor evolving legislation related to Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR), ensuring full compliance across sites, carriers, and transport contractors.
  • Develop and manage internal and external audit schedules, conducting in-depth audits and producing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Lead training needs analyses and coordinate the design and delivery of compliance programs, coaching junior coordinators and advisors in transportation legislation and safety best practices.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should have solid experience gained in transportation operations, compliance, or training, underpinned by a thorough understanding of CoR legislation, as well as:

  • A proven ability to deliver high-quality training and communicate complex compliance requirements to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with accreditation frameworks, particularly the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), along with strong proficiency in MS Office and report writing.
