The role of Senior Employee Relations Specialist is a key position within our organisation, responsible for driving strategic employee relations initiatives and providing expert advice to the business.
- Drive enterprise bargaining and union engagement activities to ensure effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Guide and support Thiess sites with industrial relations advice, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Build capability across our teams through tailored in-house training programs, enhancing knowledge and skills in employee relations.
- Lead and manage workplace investigations with confidence, applying a fair and impartial approach to resolve issues.
- Contribute to group-wide employee relations strategies and compliance initiatives, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Provide guidance and advocacy for the business when responding to matters within Australian employment jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Tertiary qualifications in law or a related field.
- Proven experience in employee and industrial relations, with expertise in leading and supporting enterprise bargaining negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to represent employers before the Fair Work Commission, particularly in matters involving enterprise agreements, workplace disputes, and broader employment law issues.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and relevant legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Sharp investigative skills and the confidence to manage complex and sensitive workplace matters.
- Ability to train, coach, and uplift colleagues, contributing to a positive and high-performing team culture.
