At Smit Lamnalco, we are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Marine Engineers to join our team on a casual basis in Port Botany.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a pro-active and diligent individual who is passionate about working in a dynamic environment. As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our vessels and equipment, maintaining high standards of maintenance and compliance, and liaising with technical teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in the use of planned maintenance systems. You must hold a minimum AMSA Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3 Certificate of Competency, as well as a current AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness and valid MSIC or eligibility to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of vessel safety and maintenance
  • Liaise with technical teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs as required
  • Stay up-to-date with company training and development programs
