About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Employment Consultant to join our team at are-able. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities find and maintain employment. Your primary responsibility will be to work with job seekers to identify their strengths, skills, and interests, and provide them with the necessary support and training to secure employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with job seekers to develop personalized employment plans and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Build relationships with local employers and promote the services of are-able to increase job opportunities for our clients.
  • Conduct job market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure our clients have access to the latest job opportunities.
  • Provide post-placement support to job seekers to ensure they are successful in their new roles.
  • Collaborate with other are-able staff members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting our clients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of disability employment services and the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with job seekers, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A high level of empathy and understanding, with the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
