We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Community Engagement Officer to join our team. As a Community Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local community organizations, regional and state government agencies, and other community-minded organizations.

Your primary goal will be to generate opportunities for people with disabilities to access the best housing and services they need to live life to the fullest.

About You

We are looking for a leader who is driven by a passion for community engagement and has a strong understanding of the NDIS price guide, schedule of support agreements, and tenancy agreements.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong referral connections and local knowledge of the area
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills to build collaborative partnerships
  • The ability to identify opportunities and demonstrate community engagement experience
  • Well-developed stakeholder negotiation skills to deliver solutions that meet the needs of NDIS participants
  • Two years' experience in a similar role within a human services environment
  • An empathetic and positive approach to working with individuals with disabilities
  • The capacity to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, monitor workload, deadlines, and meet KPIs

Mandatory Requirements

  • NDIS clearance check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation certificate
  • Your own vehicle and an unrestricted driving license
  • NDIS Orientation Module
