
Retail Inventory Planner

**Job Overview**
The Retail Inventory Planner will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by optimising inventory management and streamlining product distribution.
This key position requires a data-driven approach, utilising analytical skills to identify opportunities for improving stock availability, reducing out-of-stock scenarios, and minimising markdowns.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Buying, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations, you will leverage consumer insights to inform product strategies and drive sales growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop allocation plans based on inventory levels and store requirements.
- Forecast and update plans in response to changing sales trends.
- Conduct regular reviews of sales, stock, and sell-through data to identify risks and opportunities, recommending strategic actions to achieve financial objectives.
- Work closely with key teams to prioritise orders through receipt, production, and shipping to protect sales trends and inventory levels in stores.
- Mitigate business exposure to underperforming inventory by acting on slow-moving lines.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of end-of-season performance, providing insights into regional and category trading trends.
- Collaborate with the Buying and Planning team to conduct SWOT analysis, identifying key areas of opportunity.
- Oversee daily stock management, including allocations, consolidations, markdowns, and replenishment.
- Coordinate store stock builds to meet requirements, communicating relevant information to stakeholders.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Advanced analytical skill set and thought process.
- Proven ability to meet targets and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Retail Math, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to quickly adjust priorities and direction in response to business needs.
