Clinical Genetic Counsellor Position

About Our Department
We are a medium-sized department within the General Genetics sector. Our team is collaborative, supportive and welcoming to new members.
We see patients for various genetic conditions, including prenatal, paediatric and adult cases. This role does not involve cancer genetics.
The position is part-time, with a temporary duration of 8 months. You will work 26.6-30.4 hours per fortnight.
About You
You have completed a Master of Genetic Counselling Course and possess at least 2 years of genetic counselling experience. Your expertise includes medical, genetic and psychosocial aspects of genetic counselling.
You have demonstrated clinical placement experience in providing genetic counselling and excellent written and verbal English communication skills. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are a considerate colleague.
Key requirements include proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs quickly. Australian working rights are also necessary.
