Genetic Counsellor Role

We are seeking a certified Grade 3 Genetic Counsellor to join our General Genetics Department. The successful candidate will provide genetic counselling to patients being seen by the Perinatal Mental Health Team, as well as a varied patient group.

This is a part-time (0.5EFT, 38 hours per week) ongoing position. You will work independently and as part of a team, liaising with different departments and establishing a new service.

  • You have completed a Master of Genetic Counselling Course and certification in Genetic Counselling.
  • You have experience with psychiatric genetic counselling, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • You thrive working in a fast-paced environment as part of a multidisciplinary team and are a considerate and collaborative team member.
