About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Specialist to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Asia-Pacific Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of our data privacy strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data privacy plans for Australia, in collaboration with our Global Privacy Office.
  • Lead a team of privacy champions to provide guidance on data privacy best practices and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments for new IT products and systems, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other privacy leads in the Pacific and Asia region to share best practices and ensure consistency in data privacy approaches.
  • Present data privacy-related information to senior management and the Risk Committee.
  • Review and update privacy policies, guidelines, and notices to ensure compliance with changing regulations.
  • Ensure that supplier and customer contracts comply with our data privacy requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate data privacy risks in the business.
  • Support data privacy-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing data privacy laws and regulations, and ensure that our business is compliant.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations in Australia.
  • Experience in data privacy compliance, preferably in a financial services or insurance industry.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
