Project Manager

The main goal of this position is to oversee and coordinate project management assignments worldwide, utilizing sound technical and business acumen.

This role involves managing and coordinating project activities to ensure compliance with contracts and maintain safety, quality, value, timeliness, and profitability.

The Project Engineer will assume responsibilities on medium-size projects, multiple small-size projects, or complex segments of larger projects, in accordance with project needs or directions from the Project Director, Project Manager, or Engineering Manager.

The key duties include:

  • Monitoring progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems
  • Coordinating and/or managing the efforts of technical disciplines, vendors, and licensors to ensure integrated and completed designs that meet project requirements and contractual obligations
  • Supporting creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring activities, progress, and milestones against the plans
  • Supporting creation and coordination of project effort hours, cost estimates, and budgets, and monitoring progress and cost performance against these
  • Coordinating the preparation, delivery, and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
Essential Skills and Qualifications

An accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an engineering field of study and seven years of work-related experience are required. A recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field is also necessary, along with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Additionally, the job requires:

  • Able to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Able to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Additional Requirements

The successful candidate may be required to support or participate in presentations to larger project audiences and utilize knowledge management communities to capture, support, and leverage relevant knowledge to enhance project execution.
