Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations & Maintenance team at Tindal RAAF Base in the Northern Territory.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Australian Defence environment, supporting national security requirements.

As a key player in this role, you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment, diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment, and project work as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical systems
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and repairs on faulty equipment
  • Participate in project-based work on fuel installations and related assets
  • Support subcontracted work packages as needed

Requirements:

  • Trade-qualified mechanical fitter with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally in the fuel services or Oil & Gas sector
  • Previous experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry is highly regarded
  • Hold confined space and working at heights tickets (highly desirable)
