About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Account Manager to join our Enterprise Support team at Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd. As a Technical Account Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the success of our enterprise support customers in building applications and services on the AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Success: Act as a single point of contact to Enterprise Accounts, understanding their outcomes and business goals.
  2. Strategic Advice: Provide expert advice on AWS services in support of questions, project and launch planning, and ongoing operational issues.
  3. Cloud Adoption: Make AWS service improvement recommendations that fit with your customer strategy and architecture.
  4. Operational Performance: Evaluate, analyze, and present periodic reviews of operational performance to customers.
  5. Service Disruptions: Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and detailed prelaunch planning.
  6. Customer Advocacy: Champion and advocate for customer requirements within AWS, including feature requests.
  7. Communication: Participate in customer-requested meetings (onsite or via phone) and leverage key customer resolution tools across all service groups to facilitate rapid resolution of customer concerns.
  8. Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and innovate with some of the leading technologists around the world.
  9. Collaboration: Work directly with Amazon Web Service engineers to ensure that customer issues are resolved as expediently as possible.
  10. Business-Critical Events: Plan and execute successful business-critical events, including product launches, migrations, and modernizations for your customers on AWS.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Experience in at least two of the following technical domains: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, Security, Applications Development.
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate and present to small and large audiences.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in similar roles such as a Senior Technical Consultant, Solutions Architect, IT Manager/Engineer or other similar technical role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer Science or Math Background: Computer Science or Math background.
  • Software Development Experience: Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies.
  • AWS Experience: Experience working with AWS technologies.
  • Technology Budget Management: Solid understanding of technology budget management.
