Transformative Insurance Expertise

You will play a pivotal role in reimagining the way customers manage risk. As a Financial Lines Underwriter, you will contribute to this transformation by underwriting new and renewal business, developing relationships with brokers, and executing agreed strategies.

This position can be located in Brisbane or Sydney.

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and principles
  • Identify target accounts and monitor progress against budget using reports and tools
  • Maintain accurate files, registers, and records for management reporting and timely service and policy issuance
  • Assist in implementing the Commercial Strategy for Financial Lines
  • Evaluate and maintain solid working relationships with producing brokers

Requirements to Succeed

You will need a proven track record demonstrating strong sales skills and a solid understanding of the brokerage market. Analytical skills are required to manage the profitability of brokers in conjunction with Financial Lines management. Professional relationships with brokers would be beneficial. Insurance qualifications (Senior Associate or equivalent) and financial lines experience would be highly regarded.
