Event Logistics Manager Job

The role of an Event Logistics Manager is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of events. This individual plays a crucial part in overseeing and managing the logistical coordination of events, guaranteeing that everything runs seamlessly from start to finish.

This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, such as vendors, staff, and clients, to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made. The Event Logistics Manager must also be skilled at problem-solving and think on their feet to address any unexpected issues that may arise during the event.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate logistics services, including resourcing, stock control, and warehouse management.
  • Manage event crews, ensuring satisfactory training and timely on-site installation.
  • Oversee scheduling of event crew for event installation and dismantlement.
  • Supervise on-site operations to guarantee that everything is running smoothly.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets daily, then submit approved weekly staff timesheets to payroll for processing.
  • Ensure all areas are properly set up, including signage, equipment, infrastructure, and staff allocation.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound stock shipments, including receiving and distributing stock.
  • Support the development and implementation of improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and resolve queries.
  • Participate in post-event debriefs to address client feedback and implement improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards across all operations.

To excel in this role, you will have experience working within the events industry in a logistics capacity, preferably with experience in warehouse management and crew management. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential for this position.
