Case Manager

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in assisting injured workers with the processing of their Workers Compensation claims. You will be the central point of contact for the injured worker, employer, and various treating health providers to review requests for compensation for medical treatment and other expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process claims for injured workers, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement of medical expenses.
- Review, monitor, and approve requests for compensation from injured workers for medical/surgical treatment.
- Ensure appropriate documentation is received to process reimbursements for treating health providers and injured workers.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as assessing and processing invoices, entering contact notes, and drafting letters related to claims decisions.
- Take and make high-volume client and customer calls regarding claims outcomes, updates, and customer service.
- Utilize claims management systems and databases to record and review claims information, ensuring privacy and accuracy of information.
- Support the review process for ongoing entitlement for medical and like compensation for injured workers.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Previous experience in a customer service-based role, preferably in fields such as hospitality, retail, employment services, rehabilitation, mental health, social work, or health & safety.
- Tertiary study in Psychology, social work, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- Strong telephone-based conversational/communication skills, administrative skills, and the ability to learn and use systems/databases.
- Resilience and exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-player attitude.
