About Us

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to lead our HSE initiatives, develop and implement project-specific systems and procedures, and provide expert guidance to site leadership and workforce. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in HSE leadership roles within the oil & gas, mining, or heavy infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve project-specific HSE systems, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Provide expert HSE guidance and support to site leadership, supervisors, and workforce.
  • Conduct assurance activities to ensure overall compliance to HSE systems, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Promote safety engagement and accountability at all levels through training, toolbox talks, and visible field leadership.
  • Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure alignment with company expectations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum 7–10 years' experience in HSE leadership roles within oil & gas, mining, or heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience managing HSE on greenfield or brownfield gas gathering, pipeline, or related civil construction projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, Environmental Management, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training (highly regarded).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
