Optometric Practice Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled lecturer to join our team and contribute to the development of effective unit curricula and learning materials in Optometry.

The successful candidate will lead unit teaching teams, work collaboratively with other teaching teams, and deliver high-quality teaching practices within units.

You will suggest approaches to innovate teaching practices, applying latest industry and clinical practice management knowledge to improve student success and engagement.

The role involves providing administrative and practice management service activities in our Collaborative Eye Care Clinic, as well as developing assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective unit curricula and learning materials
  • Deliver high-quality teaching practices and suggest innovative approaches
  • Provide administrative and practice management support
  • Develop assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a cognate field (Business, Optometry or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in a university environment
