Community Safety Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Coordinator to join our dynamic team as a Community Safety Leader.

  • This role offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including a 12% employer superannuation contribution and 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% loading.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Community Development or a relevant field, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a leadership position. They will also need to be able to work effectively in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment, possess a current NT Manual Drivers' Licence, and be able to obtain a satisfactory completion of the NT Working with Children's Check (Ochre) card and Criminal History Check.

About the Role

This is a full-time fixed-term position until 30 June 2026, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be based in Alice Springs and will be responsible for leading the delivery of community safety programs and services.


Key Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in Community Development or a related field;
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a senior leadership role within a similar sector;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment;
  • Current NT Manual Drivers' Licence;
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory completion of the NT Working with Children's Check (Ochre) card and Criminal History Check;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Adaptability and flexibility;
  • Passion for working with Aboriginal communities;
  • Knowledge of the MacDonnell Regional Council region and its needs.
