Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

Our organisation empowers individuals to achieve functional independence and overall health and wellbeing by delivering high-quality assessments and therapy services. We are committed to excellence in clinical service, bringing together a multidisciplinary team of experts.

The role involves delivering positive behaviour support to people with complex behavioural needs, including paediatric and adult participants from culturally diverse populations and corrective services settings. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the support of an established Allied Health team and our national transdisciplinary therapy service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver positive behaviour support to individuals with complex needs
  • Complete Functional Behaviour Assessments for individuals (paediatrics and adults) with challenging behaviours
  • Develop and/or implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Understand and adhere to the principles of Positive Behaviour Support, including human rights and passion for working to improve quality of life

Requirements:

  • Meet NDIS guidelines for Behaviour Support Practitioner registration with either an Allied Health background or significant other experience
  • Willingness to complete the NDIS self-assessment process for registration as a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner and demonstrated understanding of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Capability Framework
