Job Title: Senior Financial Services ProfessionalAbout the role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Services Professional to join our team on a six-month contract. You will work from home two days a week and in the office three days a week in Brisbane's CBD.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, including preparing and submitting data uploads for timely invoicing to customers, providing informative advice to customers on invoices and customer accounts, assisting with report preparation, submissions, briefs, and correspondence, and supporting financial monitoring services for accurate and timely financial reporting and reconciliations.

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support financial management initiatives, contributing to reviewing, developing, and implementing financial practices and procedures, and providing financial helpdesk support and advice to frontline officers and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and submit data uploads for timely invoicing to customers
  • Provide informative advice to customers on invoices and customer accounts
  • Assist with report preparation, submissions, briefs, and correspondence
  • Support financial monitoring services for accurate and timely financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support financial management initiatives
  • Contribute to reviewing, developing, and implementing financial practices and procedures
  • Provide financial helpdesk support and advice to frontline officers and staff
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Relevant experience as a Finance Officer, including invoicing, customer queries, and reporting
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial management practices and processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stay focused on high-volume repetitive tasks
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Preference for experience with SAP ECC for payment management and reporting
