Data Centre Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team at CBRE in Truganina, Melbourne's western suburbs. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our data centres.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have prior experience in managing critical environments, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centre environments. You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that maintenance activities within the buildings are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, business risk, and maintaining 100% uptime criteria
- Monitor BMS for running and alarm conditions when required
- Investigate faults, identify root causes, and effect remedies
- Prepare accurate and timely service/incident reports as required
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building(s) infrastructure and their layouts, functions, and complexities
- Deliver effective communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to team meetings, briefings, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, as appropriate
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the below criteria:
- Must understand all associated safety code-related requirements relative to providing the service. Experience with Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures
- Prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervision
- Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and tools
- Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues
- NSW Electrical License or NSW HVAC/Refrigeration License is required/Certificate 3/III - HVAC/Mechanical/Electrical
