French Pastry Specialist

We are seeking an experienced pastry specialist to produce high-quality French pastries, including tarts, croissants, and other items. Key responsibilities include preparing dough and batter according to established recipes, monitoring the baking process, and decorating pastries with glazes, icing, and toppings.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dough and batter according to established recipes and techniques.

  • Roll out dough, shape pastries, and fill tarts with fruit, cream, and other fillings.

  • Monitor baking process and adjust temperature and cooking times as needed.

  • Decorate pastries with glazes, icing, and toppings.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines.

  • Order and stock supplies as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a baker, with experience in French pastry preferred.

  • Knowledge of pastry techniques and baking equipment.

  • Ability to read and follow recipes, adjust recipes as needed, and troubleshoot baking issues.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality baked goods.

  • Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 20kg, and work in a hot environment.
