Job Title: Baker

A highly skilled baker is required to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the bakery department, you will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality bakery products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and production of quality bakery products, including bread, rolls, and pastries.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations by inspecting equipment cleanliness and premises before production begins.
  • Evaluating the quality of raw materials and measuring ingredients to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Performing tasks such as kneading, maturing, cutting, molding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry products.
  • Preparing fillings for pastries and ensuring they are presented in an attractive manner.
  • Monitoring oven temperatures and assessing product appearance to determine appropriate baking times.
  • Coordinating the various stages of bread, roll, and pastry production, including forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling.
  • Cleaning and lubricating baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment, and ensuring they are ready for use.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a baker or Certificate III In Baking.
  • Ability to work across 7 days of the week, including evening work and some public holidays.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to train, develop, and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department.
