Job Description

Job Title: Senior Psychologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to join our team at Capricornia Correctional Centre. As a Senior Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-level mental health assessment and intervention, as well as clinical supervision and leadership to a multidisciplinary team of psychologists and counsellors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level mental health assessment and intervention to prisoners
  • Provide clinical supervision and leadership to a multidisciplinary team of psychologists and counsellors
  • Work collaboratively with other operational perspectives to affect optimal outcomes for prisoners
  • Develop and implement mental health programs and services
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) in psychology or behavioural science
  • General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Proven experience in mental health assessment and intervention
  • Proven experience in clinical supervision and leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
