Laboratory Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical support and equipment use for undergraduate classes, intensives, workshops, and rotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and maintain stock levels of consumables, equipment, and teaching resources
  • Administer outcomes by obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and maintaining records
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications and relevant experience or a combination of experience and education
  • Experience with clinical and simulation laboratories, relevant to health professional education and training
  • Demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation and its practical application within a laboratory
  • Informed analytical and problem-solving skills to judge shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a high-volume environment
  • Current First Aid Certificate and current C Class Queensland Driver's license
