Job Title: Storage Infrastructure Expert

 

About the Opportunity:

This role requires expertise in zSeries storage management and engineering.

The successful candidate will lead, build and support the zSeries Storage hardware and software infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical project management roles for large zSeries infrastructure deployment and evergreening projects to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual interventions in the storage infrastructure and enhance overall performance.
  • Test new software and exploit its functionality to stay ahead of industry trends and requirements.
  • Consolidate and reduce infrastructure complexity to minimize risks and optimize resources.
  • Manage risk and cost effectively to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure service quality targets are met for offered platform services through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to secure best value for the organization.
  • Design, configure, test, implement and support zSeries storage hardware and software solutions to meet business demands.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in zSeries storage management and engineering.
  • Experience working with vendors such as IBM, Dell and Broadcom.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
