Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Executive Culinary Director to lead our kitchen team. As the head of culinary operations, you will be responsible for overseeing daily meal preparation, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality food service standards are met.

About the Role: In this key position, you will play a vital role in driving workplace culture, safety, and service excellence. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance our food services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate food service operations to meet dietary and nutritional needs.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety legislation, cleaning standards, and infection control guidelines.
  • Manage stock, equipment maintenance, and budget requirements.
  • Oversee menu planning, catering requests, and meal quality assurance.
  • Respond to feedback and complaints with professionalism and care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade Certificate of Proficiency in Cooking and Food Safety Supervisor (Health).
  • Proven leadership experience in managing performance and workplace change.
  • Extensive experience in hospitality or healthcare catering.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP), OH&S, and infection control.
  • Understanding of texture-modified diets (IDDSI) and dietary restrictions/allergens.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor food preparation processes.
