Job Description

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across stock, COGS, and supply chain operations.

This position requires someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using SAP and MS Excel, as well as have experience within the retail industry or a similar fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards. This includes leading month-end and year-end close activities, monitoring inventory balances, and resolving discrepancies across systems and locations.

Additionally, the Senior Financial Accountant will provide financial analysis on inventory movements, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock variances. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and timely inventory data, prepare inventory reports and insights for internal stakeholders and external auditors, and support inventory controls, including stock takes and cycle counts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
