Job Title: Strategic Procurement Leader
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Leader to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and managing tender processes for medium and high-risk procurements.
You will offer expert guidance to senior stakeholders on procurement planning, policy interpretation, contract formation, and contract management, ensuring compliance with policies and delivering value-for-money-outcomes.
This includes overseeing contract lifecycle activities, including extensions, variations, and exemption requests. Additionally, you will build and maintain effective relationships across Government, industry, and the community to support successful procurement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage tender processes for medium and high-risk procurements
- Offer expert guidance to senior stakeholders on procurement planning, policy interpretation, contract formation, and contract management
- Oversee contract lifecycle activities, including extensions, variations, and exemption requests
- Build and maintain effective relationships across Government, industry, and the community
Requirements:
- Considerable experience in procurement environments working with complex tender and contract formation, within Government or equivalent industry
- Considerable experience in procurement processes including tender and contract preparation, management and administration, and contract negotiation and time and financial management
- Evidence of your ability to deliver effective solutions to complex procurement challenges
- Evidence of high-level oral communication and interpersonal skills and experience in effectively liaising and negotiating with external organisations
- High-level leadership, supervisory, organisational and program planning and human resource management skills, including a demonstrated ability to promote staff development, deal with contentious issues and improve performance, empowering staff to achieve agreed outcomes
