Job Overview

This role is part of an expanding operation with significant production targets in regional NSW. As a Mining Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Hard Rock, you will lead geotechnical strategy and execution across both underground and open pit operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing geotechnical strategies for UG and OP areas, ensuring effective risk management and ground control systems.

You will provide site-based guidance to production and technical teams on geotechnical design, monitoring, and modeling.

In addition, you will mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in ground safety and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement geotechnical strategies for UG and OP areas.
  • Provide site-based guidance on geotechnical design, monitoring, and modeling.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Underground hard rock experience in drill & blast design and execution.
  • Proficiency in Vulcan, Deswik, ShotPlus, or similar software.
