We are seeking a skilled registered nurse to fill a clinical position.
- This role will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where community mental health services include specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Teams and bilingual mental health workers.
- The Acute Care Service model of care provides mental health assessments to consumers in the community experiencing acute problems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Mental health assessments and determining an appropriate pathway to care for consumers experiencing acute problems.
- Short-term treatment in the community as an alternative to hospitalization.
- Coordinated follow-up with hospital staff after mental health admissions.
- Collaborative care for consumers transferring between hospital and community settings.
Requirements:
- A recognised nursing tertiary qualification and current registration with AHPRA.
- A valid NSW driver's license.
- Demonstrated competencies in contemporary mental health practice.
