About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our Commodities and Global Markets Data Management team at Macquarie. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in implementing data governance within the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across various change initiatives to implement, manage, and promote data governance activities.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement in data management.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices.
  • Monitor and report on data governance metrics and key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • 3 years' experience in a governance, risk, or control role within financial services or financial markets.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to critically evaluate risks and controls.
  • Tertiary degree in a quantitative discipline or applicable experience in financial services or financial markets.
  • Excellent risk and control mindset and interest in analyzing, identifying, and developing quality data.
  • Excellent attention to detail when documenting data governance outcomes.
