Job Opportunity: Lived Experience Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Carer Lived Experience team as a Lived Experience Advocate.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with significant personal experience of caring or supporting someone who has accessed adult public mental health services. You will be working as part of a dedicated and innovative team that aims to support the recognition, inclusion, participation, and needs of carers, families, and supporters of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide peer-based information and support to carers/families of individuals accessing our service.
  • Support information sessions, groups, and activities for carers/families of the service.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong ability to share your carer lived experience and knowledge to contribute to the Carer Lived Experience team and promote the carer lived experience perspective across the service.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a range of multidisciplinary colleagues and people from different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Strong, supportive and collaborative interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You will be a self-motivated, passionate, and well-organised person with a passion for providing high-quality, peer and recovery-focused support services.
