**Job Title:** Living Experience Professional

**About the Role:

  • The Living Experience (LE) workforce is a vital component of our multidisciplinary teams, with roles embedded across mental health, alcohol and other drug, and family violence programs.
  • The LE team brings together diverse perspectives, including consumer, family carer, and AOD lived experience, to shape inclusive, recovery-oriented care.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver LLE-specific education and training for staff.
  • Lead and mentor LE staff through discipline-specific supervision.
  • Build and nurture stakeholder relationships across internal and external networks.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for the expansion and integrity of Family Carer and AOD LE roles.

**Requirements:

  • Lived experience as a family carer and/or personal experience of substance use and recovery.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Family Carer or AOD perspective role within the MHAOD sector.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and professional writing skills.
  • Experience in training development, supervision, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Training & Assessment desirable.
