Process Improvement and Automation Leader

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced leader to identify process improvement and automation initiatives within the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing solutions based on business priority and risk management, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and contributing to achieving strategic business objectives through effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map current systems, tooling, and workflows across teams to identify inefficiencies, handoffs, and repetitive manual tasks.
  • Work with stakeholders to uncover friction points and define automation opportunities with clear, measurable impact.
  • Recommend selected automation of processes or integrations that streamline business processes, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with broader technological ecosystem.
  • Track and report back the value of initiatives on a regular basis.
  • Create reusable templates, playbooks, and frameworks to support teams in scaling automation initiatives independently.
  • Lead enablement sessions and workshops to build internal capability and confidence around AI and automation best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support post-deployment to ensure long-term success and continuous improvement of solutions.
  • Measure and report on performance impact of initiatives, including cycle time reduction, improved team satisfaction, and increased focus on high-value work to prove ROI.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in technology, digital or data roles, including 5+ years of leading automation initiatives.
  • Deep experience in building technological solutions - Complex problem-solving skills, ability to make complex simple.
  • Ability to commercially evaluate opportunities and drive required outcomes.
  • Ability to lead sustainable solutions which are highly scalable.
  • Use of coding methodologies and structures to ensure appropriate governance over automations.
  • Ability to create buy-in at senior executive level.
  • Expertise in recommending AI strategies that deliver real business outcomes.
  • Commercially strong, pragmatic, with ability to understand each division's individual priorities, challenges and opportunities.
  • Broad proficiency across cloud, digital architecture, and engineering, integrating solutions effectively within enterprise ecosystem.
