A successful Culinary Team Member will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to deliver exceptional Guest and Member experiences while consistently contributing to departmental targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent great food production, meeting the high quality standards expected by Hilton.
  • Maintain timely completion of tasks within established deadlines.
  • Contribute to Kitchen revenue through effective food cost control, leveraging expertise in menu planning and inventory management.
  • Provide valuable support to the Kitchen brigade, fostering a collaborative environment that drives results.
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes that exceed company guidelines, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
  • Guarantee all working areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to strict health and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Prepare mis-en-place for all relevant menus, ensuring seamless execution of culinary operations.
  • Assist other departments as needed, maintaining excellent working relationships and promoting a positive team culture.
  • Proactively report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues, prioritizing the safety and well-being of colleagues and Guests.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety and food safety legislation, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Awareness of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team, driving business growth and success.
  • Meet all health and hygiene requirements, adhering to rigorous standards that ensure exceptional Guest experiences.
  • Embody environmental awareness, championing sustainable practices and minimizing the hotel's ecological footprint.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary results.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a passion for delivering exceptional Guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with ease.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, following instruction and direction.
  • A genuine passion for learning and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Proof of completion in a basic food hygiene course, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and quality.
  • A deep passion for food and the culinary arts, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Completion of an accredited commercial cookery course or trade apprenticeship, providing a solid foundation in culinary principles and techniques.
  • Experience multi-tasking and working in an environment with rigorous standards, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
