This job requires an experienced accounting professional to oversee the day-to-day financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance to the company.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, technical skills, and the ability to streamline processes for scalability. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely financial records, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, and monitoring and analyzing general ledger accounts.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for all AP & AR functions, including processing invoices, bills, checks, and deposits. Additionally, they will reconcile bank accounts, investment activity, and intercompany transactions. The role also involves reviewing property-level financials, including revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred (not required).
- 4+ years of accounting experience, in real estate, real estate/private equity is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
