Job Description

Fleet Manager is a critical role that involves the management of covered equipment under an assigned Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA). The Fleet Manager must demonstrate the value of Equipment Health Management (EHM) and work closely with regional or district field operations to maintain and enhance service quality delivery and customer relationships. A key aspect of this role is participation in the review and/or investigation of incident reports submitted for assigned LTSA.

The Fleet Manager provides direction to fleet engineers and solar/customer field personnel for operational and technical activities. This includes being the technical focal point for customer/solar technical activities related to LTSA covered equipment. Additionally, the Fleet Manager acts as a liaison between Solar and Customer on financial decisions related to the LTSA.

The role involves enabling and maintaining clear communications with key solar/customer personnel. Consistency of service delivery and world-class performance are achieved through utilizing People, Processes, and Technology developed by Machinery Management Services. The working environment may involve remote locations and extensive travel.

The position may be designated to multiple customers or dedicated to a single customer. Scope of services for the LTSA covered equipment must be fully understood and adhered to. Tracking and promoting the value of services provided under the LTSA is also a key responsibility.

The Fleet Manager supports the implementation of InSight Connect solutions for covered equipment and works with the aftermarket sales team to identify equipment Package Refurbishment Upgrades (PRU) opportunities. They remain engaged with solar/customer commissioning and PRU activities of current covered equipment and for new equipment included under the LTSA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alert Management: Investigate alerts, document steps to acknowledge and disposition them in a timely manner, and provide resolution and closure with the customer.
  • CATCH: Promote InSight System equipment health-related alerts to Customer Advisory to Change in Health (CATCH) and clearly document all actions taken.
  • PAR: Promote High Value InSight System CATCH's to Preventive Action Reports (PAR) to provide value-added documentation to the customer on the services included in the LTSA.
  • Service Bulletin Management: Review and manage service bulletins issued for covered equipment under the LTSA to determine if applicable and support customer implementation planning.
  • Engine History: Maintain covered equipment engine history tracking.
  • Overhaul Optimization: Determine accurate equipment health using operational data and work with the customer to optimize run life while meeting operational needs through identifying exchange opportunities in advance.
  • Unplanned Downtime: Document all instances of unplanned downtime using the InSight System equipment state characterization.
  • Availability Reliability: Maintain and update InSight System equipment data characterization.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Manage and deliver on all Key Performance Indicators described in LTSA.
  • Remote Troubleshooting: Perform remote troubleshooting and analysis of operating parameters for covered equipment using the InSight System LiveView capability.
  • Customer Reporting: Generate and provide concise reports to the customer consolidating operational, technical, and HSSE activities for the covered equipment.
  • Document Management: Maintain the document management system with customer value-added reports/documents outlined in the LTSA.
  • Condition Assessment: Plan and schedule condition assessments for covered equipment per schedule in LTSA.
  • LTSA Performance Management Reviews: Schedule and host performance review meetings ensuring key players from Solar and customer are in attendance.
  • Failure Investigation: Drive the failure investigation process at the field level analyzing site-related data and information to assist Solar engineering in determining the cause of failure.
  • Operational Efficiency: Be aware of customer operational objectives to identify and support critical equipment operations.
  • Maintenance Optimization: Support the customer in reviewing and developing enhanced OEM maintenance programs for covered equipment.
  • Spare Parts Recommendations: Support the customer through recommendations of critical spares stocking and any consolidation of spares between assets.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated advanced technical management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, high energy level, and sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline requiring a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Power Generation/Oil & Gas industries.
