Early Childcare Education Manager

Overview of the Position:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a high-quality childcare program at our new Early Childcare Centre.
  • Work closely with provincial contacts to ensure adherence to regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Glace Bay families to design a program that meets their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Design: Inform the program design and delivery of the new childcare centre, ensuring it aligns with provincial standards and best practices.
  • Staff Support: Anticipate staff needs and ensure the childcare centre is set up for their success.
  • Project Management: Work collaboratively with the Director of Properties & Development to manage the design and construction phases of the new childcare centre.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and timeline.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Educator designation (diploma or degree) with working experience.
  • Well-versed in provincial standards for early childhood care and education in Nova Scotia.
  • Experience hiring and managing staff.
