About the Role

The Perioperative Registered Nurse (Level 1) is a key member of the Calvary St Vincent's Hospital team, responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and works under the guidance and direction of the Level 2 Registered Nurses. We are interested in all perioperative areas, including Anaesthetics, Recovery, and Scrub/Scout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
Requirements
  • AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate
  • Previous perioperative nursing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently, and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
